Primary Care Services and Treatments

Primary care physicians can address a wide range of medical needs. They can often provide comprehensive care without the need for a specialist. Our skilled team of primary care physicians provide the following services and treatments:

Annual Exams and Wellness Screenings

Regular check-ups with a doctor are important for assessing overall health and detecting any potential health issues. These visits include exams and screenings for basic physical and emotional health measures. This may involve checking height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and overall mental well-being.

Electrocardiograms

Electrocardiograms, or EKGs, can help show the size, shape and condition of your heart by measuring the electrical activity. This exam helps to diagnose heart disease.

Minor Office Procedures

Our doctors can perform many small medical procedures in-office. These procedures do not require a specialist or surgeon. These procedures include:

  • Cryosurgery to remove skin lesions, tags, moles and warts
  • Joint injections
  • Laceration repair
  • Suture and staple removal
  • Incision and drainage
  • Minor biopsies
  • Foreign body removal

Pap Tests

Pap tests screen for cervical cancer. During this exam, a doctor will collect cells from the cervix to check for indications of cancer or precancerous conditions.

Physicals

Outside of the annual checkup, you may require comprehensive physical exams for pre-employment, school or insurance purposes. They involve assessments of overall health, including medical history, physical examination and some additional tests.

Preventive Healthcare

It’s important to take the proper steps to reduce the risk of illness. Preventive measures like immunizations, vaccines (like flu shots), screenings and tests help avoid or detect disease during the early stages.

Referrals to Specialists

Your primary care physician may refer you to a specialist if you present with health problems or conditions outside the scope of the primary care practice.

Skin Cancer Screenings

During a skin cancer screening, a doctor will examine you for any skin growths or abnormalities that may indicate skin cancer.

Spirometry

Spirometry exams test lung function and have the capacity to help diagnose chronic conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other lung conditions. These exams can help diagnose these health conditions by assessing lung capacity and function.

Well-baby and Well-child Visits

Regular medical checkups are important for monitoring growth, development and overall health. These visits may include physical examinations, vaccinations and discussion about short and long term health plans for your child.
